Using this yearbook

Welcome! Here's a quick guide to getting around.

Finding someone

The fastest way to find a specific person is the search box in the top-right corner of every page. Start typing a first or last name β€” matches appear as you type. Click any result to go straight to that person's profile.

Browsing by class

Click Classes in the top menu to see every class, grouped by grade. Each class page shows the teacher (or co-teachers) at the top, followed by every student in the class.

Browsing by club or team

Clubs and Sports work the same way: the advisor or coach is listed first, then every member of the club or team.

A person's profile page

Click anyone's photo β€” on a class page, a club page, or a team page β€” to see their full profile. Each profile lists every class, club, and team that person belongs to, so you can jump between groups easily.

Staff directory

The Staff page lists everyone who keeps the school running β€” the principal, school nurse, counselors, and other staff members who aren't assigned to a single class.

Printing a page

Every page is print-friendly. Use your browser's Print command (Ctrl+P or ⌘P) and the navigation bar, search box, and footer will automatically be hidden, leaving just the photos and names on the page.

Printing the entire yearbook as a PDF

The Print PDF page compiles the whole yearbook β€” all classes, clubs, sports teams, staff, and photo pages β€” into one continuous document formatted for 8.5 Γ— 11 in (US Letter) paper, the standard size used by book printing services.

Click the Print / Save as PDF button at the top of that page (or press Ctrl+P / ⌘P) and set your browser's destination to "Save as PDF" to download the file. That page also includes step-by-step instructions for submitting the PDF to a print-on-demand service such as Lulu.com or Blurb so you can order physical copies with no minimum order.

Can't find someone?

If you think someone's missing from the yearbook, or if a name or photo needs to be corrected, reach out to your school's yearbook committee. This site is maintained by volunteers and they're happy to fix things.

Want to make a yearbook like this for your school?

This site is built with a free, open-source yearbook template hosted on GitHub. Anyone can use it to create an online yearbook for their own school β€” no coding experience required.

To get started:

  1. Go to the template repository on GitHub:
    https://github.com/lskatz/yearbook-template
  2. Click "Use this template" β†’ "Create a new repository" to make your own private copy.
  3. Follow the step-by-step instructions in the repository's docs/SETUP.md file to configure your school name, add students and teachers, and publish your site.

The template includes full documentation for yearbook committee volunteers covering how to add students, upload photos, create class pages, add clubs and sports teams, and customize colors and fonts β€” all without needing to know how to code.
